Located 75 km east of Savonlinna, Pyhäjärvi is just 20 meters away, featuring a shallow stone/sand bottom, a rowing boat, and a pier.
This round log cabin, originally built in 1968, has been fully renovated in 2025. It includes a combined kitchen/living room, a sleeping alcove with a double bed, a kitchenette with a 2-burner cooktop (no oven), drainage, and water fetched from a well. There is an entrance hall and a covered porch.
There is a separate sleeping cabin with a double bed.
The lakeside sauna includes a dressing room, a washroom with water heated in a water cauldron, and a wood-burning stove in the sauna.
There is a grill shelter with a traditional Finnish grill.
The property also has a composting outdoor toilet.
Aurinkotupa is available for booking from the beginning of May to the end of October.
The services in the Niukkala area, village shop, and café are 5 km away. Juhola Bison Arena (restaurant) is 8 km away. Papinniemi 13 km. Services in Saari village center, including a shop, are 23 km away. Parikkala 43 km, Savonlinna 75 km, Helsinki is 362 km.
